SCR-I Track Teams Compete In Brookfield High School Relays

A total of 30 Missouri high schools were represented at one of the state’s largest track and field events, the Brookfield High School relays held April 21st.

SCR-I ran into some stiff competition in the girls Class 3 blue division, finishing 13th with 11 points. Marceline won the girls title with 136 points followed by Blair Oaks with 117 and Clark County in third with 64.5 points.

Ali Fromm finished fifth in the 300-meter hurdles. Melissa Cotton cleared 4’10” in the high jump to take fifth place.

Valerie Oldham was eighth in the 100-meter dash and Kirsten Johnston finished eighth in the 400-meter dash.

The school’s 4x100 meter relay team earned eighth place.

The SCR-I boys finished 14th in the class 3 division with 15 points. Brookfield won the boys title.

Casey Parrish picked up the bulk of those points by winning the 1,600-meter run in a time of 4 minutes 52.27 seconds.

The Tigers 4x100 meter relay team finished in sixth place while the 4x200 team earned seventh place points.
