Forty Karts Compete In Week Two at Show-Me Speedway

Show-Me Speedway had a good turnout for week number two of racing action at the Downing go kart track with 40 entries and a large crowd of spectators.

The fans got a scare in the Medium Stock class when a spin out turned into a head on collision sending #21 Jacqui Brush to the hospital. Track officials were glad to report that there were no broken bones, but that Brush did suffer some pulled ligaments in her arm.

“We all wish her a fast recovery and hope to see her at the track as soon as she is well,” stated track representative Allen Garrett.

Ashley Hutchinson (#2) went on to win the Stock Medium feature with #15 Kirk Hopkins in second and #32 Tyler Hagar in third.

The Rookie class feature was won by #12 Jacen Stotts followed by #37 Joey Hagar and #39 Ben Bolden.

Wes Golden and his #3 kart took the checkered flag in the JR II Heavy feature. Seth Shahan crossed the finish line second in the #38 kart followed by #00 Jeff Noel.

The Junior I feature win went to #3 Tyler Griesbaum. Second was #8 Rachel Shahan and third went to #15 Elliott O’Neal.

Golden took his second trophy of the night in the Junior II Heavy feature with a first-place finish. Teresa Hagar took second and #17 Holley Ellis was third.

The Masters series went to #48 David Kirkpatrick followed by #2 Jay Brush and #17 Tracy Ellis.

The winner of the 50/50 drawing was Colton Knuffman of Champagne, IL.

The next race scheduled is June 3rd with hot laps at 6:00 and races at 7:00 p.m. As always, spectators enter free.
