Heat Doesnít Slow Down Show-Me Speedway Action

Even with the extreme heat Show-Me Speedway in Downing still had a good turn out of spectators and racers with 48 entries in 8 classes on Saturday, July 15th.

In the rookie class, #37 Joey Hagar took the checkered flag followed by #01 Jeana Noel and #39 Drew Magers.

Tyler Griesbaum piloted the #3 kart to the win in the Junior I feature race ahead of #8 Rachel Shahan and #31B Brady Bowling.

The Junior II race was won by #36 Teresa Hagar with #11 Jashua Robinson taking second and #17 Holley Ellis in third.

The Stock Lite division victory went to #93 Candice Hays with #88 Brant McCormack and #20 Connie Mullenix close behind.

Tyler Griesbaum made it to the winnerís circle in the Junior I Heavy division main event. Second went to #14 Autumn Elliott followed by #8D Daniel Beeler.

The Junior II Heavy feature race saw #38 Seth Shahan cross the finish line first. Greg Tuggle earned second place with #00 Jeff Noel in third.

Jennie Hutchinson won the Stock Medium feature race in the #12 kart, holding off #15 Kirk Hopkins and #02 Ashley Hutchinson.

Jay Brush capped off a perfect night in the #2 kart, winning the Masters feature race after taking top honors in the heats as well. Second place went to #48 David Kirkpatrick with #17 Tracy Ellis in third.

The 50/50 winner for $67.50 was Howard Moore of Fairfield, Iowa. The winner of a T-shirt was Sarah McCormack of Unionville, Missouri.

The next race will be July 29th with hot laps at 6:00 p.m. and races at 7:00 p.m. As always spectators are free of charge. Pit passes are $8.00 and racers are $23.00, which includes pit pass.
