Rutledge Woman Hurt in Crash in Lewis County

A Rutledge woman suffered minor injuries in a three-car accident in Lewis County on April 24th.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 6 and Highway 16.

Linda S. Pflum, 41, of Rutledge, was stopped in traffic waiting to turn left in a 1996 Dodge when her vehicle was struck in the rear by a 1996 Plymouth driven by Mary J. Austin, 55, of Ewing.

Austinís vehicle then traveled into the westbound lane where it struck a 2003 Ford driven by Peggy J. Childress of Lewistown. The head-on crash resulted in moderate injuries to Austin. She was taken by Lewis County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. Childress and Pflum both suffered minor injuries in the accident and were to seek their own treatment.
