Rotary Derby to Pay One Lucky Duck $500

The Scotland County Rotary Club will unveil one lucky duck on Sunday, August 26th. The club will host its annual duck derby at the Memphis Swimming Pool at 6:30 p.m. when one little rubber ducky will be plucked out of the water and one lucky owner will take home a guaranteed $500 prize.

Tickets for the fundraiser are available from any Rotarian. The cost is $10 with added sales possibly boosting the prize beyond the $500 taken home by last yearís winner Connie Ward.

Proceeds from the event go toward the groupís community efforts including the college scholarship fund.
