Memphis Man Seriously Hurt In Crash

A Memphis man suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 11 at 4:27 p.m. on September 13th.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Eric J. Masden, 19, was eastbound on Highway 11, 12 miles east of Kirksville. He was driving a 2000 Pontiac which crossed the center line and struck a westbound 1992 Ford driven by Timothy B. Parker, 45, of Edina.

Masden was flown from the scene by Air Evac helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia.

Parker was uninjured in the crash. Masden’s car sustained total damage while Parker’s truck was extensively damaged.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Adair County Sheriff’s Department and the Rural Eastern Fire District.
