Memphis Teen Seriously Hurt In Car Crash

A one-vehicle accident in Schuyler County left a Memphis teenager with serious injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 7:05 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3rd on Route C, three miles north of Lancaster. Evelyn L. Young, 18, was southbound in a 2006 Pontiac when the driver lost control of the vehicle. It ran off the road and overturned.

Young was transported by Schuyler County Ambulance to Scotland County memorial Hospital. Young was then transported by AirEvac helicopter to University Medical Center in Columbia.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Department. Summons are pending.
