Gorin Woman Hurt in Crash on Snowy Road

A snow-covered roadway was blamed for a one-vehicle accident that left a Gorin woman injured.

According to the Missouri State Highway the crash occurred at 6:45 p.m. on December 6th on U.S. Highway 136 five miles east of Arbela.

Brock B. Garland, 65, of Gorin was westbound on Highway 136 in a 2002 Ford when he lost control of the vehicle on the snow-covered roadway resulting in the vehicle overturning.

Patricia P. Brock, 61, an occupant of the vehcile, sustained moderate injuries in the crash. She was transported to Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene of the accident by the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department, the Gorin Fire and Rescue Squad and Gorin first responders.
