PATRICIA ANN (PAT) BOURN
(4/19/1929 – 12/27/2006)



Patricia Ann (Pat) Bourn, 77, of Hannibal, MO, died at her home on December 27, 2006.

Funeral services were held on December 30, 2006, at Smith Funeral Chapel, Reverend Steve Barker officiated. Burial followed at Grand View Burial Park.

Patricia Ann was born in Lewistown, MO, on April 19, 1929, a daughter of Clarence and Fannie Ellen Sharp McAnulty.

She was married on April 22, 1951, in Edina, MO, to Benjamin Wayne (Pete) Bourn and he died on September 6, 2006.

Survivors include a son, Peter Bradley Bourn of Saverton, MO; a grandson, Caleb Bradley Bourn of Hannibal, MO; a sister-in-law, Helen Jean Bourn Sharp and her husband, Stanley of Edina, MO; two nephews and a niece, David Sharp, Steven McAnulty and Linda Shutte.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Roland Joy McAnulty.

Mrs. Bourn was a graduate of Edina High School and Northeast Missouri State Teachers College (now Truman University), where she earned her Masters Degree. She was a retired instructor of Clerical Practice from Hannibal Area Vocational Technical School (now Hannibal Career and Technical Center). Mrs. Bourn was a member of the Mark Twain Men’s Chorale and Ladies Ensemble and a member of First Christian Church where she had been active in the church choir. She enjoyed travel, music, and bicycling. She and her husband enjoyed long trips together on their own motorcycles.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Diabetes Association in care of Smith Funeral Home, 2619 St. Mary’s Ave., Hannibal, MO 63401.
