SHARON E. McROBERT

Sharon E. McRobert of Memphis, MO, died January 15, 2007 at her home in Scotland County.

She was born the daughter of Raymond J. and Dorothy (Fry) Fountain on July 11, 1941 in Williamstown.

Sharon graduated from Memphis High School in 1959 and attended Northeast Missouri Teachers College (now Truman State University) in Kirksville, Missouri.

She married her high school sweetheart, Bill McRobert, on August 12, 1962 at the First Christian Church in Memphis. He survives.

To this union, two children were born: David and Sheri.

Sharon dearly loved being with her four grandchildren. They were definitely an inspiration to her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents along with her father and mother-in-law, Leland McRobert and Irma McRobert.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; son, Dave and wife Lana McRobert; daughter, Sheri and husband Joel Kapfer, all of Memphis; grandchildren, William, Grant, and Charlotte McRobert and Jacob Kapfer, all of Memphis; two brothers, Carl and wife Judy Fountain of Boonville, MO, and Vernie and wife Joy Fountain of Springfield, MO; brother-in-law, Max and wife Boo McRobert of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Ila McRobert and Shirley and husband Paul Townsend, all of Keokuk; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held January 18, 2007, at the Gerth Funeral Chapel in Memphis with Jack Sumption, pastor of the Memphis First Christian Church officiating. Special music was provided by Ann Luther, Elaine Forrester, and Angela Westhoff. Larry Riney, Ron Boyer, Max Eggleston, Vernon Tippett, Eugene Kennedy, and Duane McDonald served as pallbearers. Bill Harvey and Phil Struble were honorary pallbearers. Burial was in the Greensburg (MO) Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northeast Missouri, the Greensburg Cemetery or the Scotland County Care Center and can be left at or mailed to the Gerth Funeral Service, 115 S. Main, Memphis, MO, 63555.
