PAUL HENRY CLATT

Paul Henry Clatt, 87, of Memphis, MO, passed away early January 26, 2007, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO.

Paul was born June 29, 1919 in Scotland County, MO, the son of John Henry and Ella Fehr Clatt.

He attended the Hazel Hill Grade School in rural Scotland County, MO.

Paul married Ruth Grubb in 1940 and to this union three children were born, John Hubert, Margaret Ann, and Caroline Kay.

On November 6, 1966 in Rutledge, MO, Paul married Shirley Dennison.

Paul worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad on the Bridge Gang for 31 years. He was a lifetime resident of Scotland County.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ruth; four sisters; and four brothers-in-law, Ruth McHenry and husband, Bob, Martha Sears and husband, Alva, Mary Glass and husband, Ernie, Lydia Blain and husband, Hollis; One sister-in-law, Charlene Clatt; one son-in-law, Dick Kaldenberg; two granddaughters, Donna May and Linda Jo Dennison.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley of the home; one son, John Clatt and his wife, Shirley of Ashland, NE; two daughters, Margaret Kaldenberg of Iowa Falls, IA, Caroline Dennison and husband, Bud of Memphis, MO; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother, Noah Clatt and friend, Bea of Memphis, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the family and may be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison, Memphis, MO 63555.

Funeral services were held on January 30, 2007, at the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO, with Rev. Charles Hammack and Robert Moseley officiating. Pallbearers were Kelly Clatt, Jeffrey Clatt, John Jason Clatt, Terry Kaldenberg, Donnie Dennison, and Jerry Kaldenberg. Honorary pallbearers were David Peterson, Joe Wheeler, and Leon Orton. Arrangements were under the direction of the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO.
