Hillis R. Pulliam 81, of Springfield, IL, died February 3, 2007 at St. Johnís Hospice.

He was born in Memphis, MO, April 3, 1925 the son of George Lynn and Lenna Clough Pulliam. He married Martha Ambers in Springfield, on April 2, 1955.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 brothers.

Mr. Pulliam was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and was a 55-year member of Central Lodge #71 AF&AM.

Mr. Pulliam worked for the F.W. Means Linen Supply Co, and then retired from the State of Illinois Secretary of State in 1989. After retirement, he worked for Bill Doran Wholesale Florist.

Surviving are his wife, Martha, his sister, Madlin Tippett, of Memphis, MO, and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation rites will be accorded by the Bisch Crematory.

Memorial services will be held at a later date at Trinity United Methodist Church, Springfield, IL. Private inurnment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, IL. Those that wish may direct memorial contributions to the Shriners Hospital for Children

Bisch & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
