Lillian Leslie Lewis, 90, of Decatur, IL, died on May 3, 2007.

She was born May 22, 1916 in Memphis, MO, the second of four daughters of George and Nannie Leslie.

Lillian graduated from Gem City Business School in Quincy, IL, in 1936 and graduated from Culver-Stockton College in 1941.

She married Joseph A. Lewis in 1945. They lived at various Naval Air Stations before moving to Decatur, IL. Lillian remained a housewife and mother until going to work as secretary to the vice president of student affairs to Millikin University for 21 years.

She enjoyed bridge, golf, lunches with friends, church activities and was a P.E.O. member. She and Joe traveled to all corners of the world on trips and cruises with friends.

She was a loving mother, sister, and aunt always interested in their lives.

She is survived by her husband; son, John Lewis of Madison, WI; daughter, Joann L. Curtis of Decatur, IL; two grandchildren, Alex A. Frazier and Charles W. Curtis, U.S. Navy Nuclear Division; and their first great-grandchild, Emberlym R. Frazier, born May 3, 2007. She also leaves two sisters, Mary Louise Brown of Carbondale, IL, Nancy Harris of Memphis, MO and many nieces and nephews.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and their first child, Nancy Ruth, in 1946.

A memorial service was held in Decatur, IL, May 8, 2007, and interment was in Canton, on May 19, 2007.
