Donald Wayne Hunter, 75, of Brunswick, MO, died on May 27, 2007, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

Don was born on October 16, 1931, in Scotland County, MO, the son of Howard and Ethel Cone Hunter.

While he was in the U.S. Army he had served his country in Korea and Germany.

He was married to Elizabeth Laviece Eyman Henry on May 14, 1983, at New Cambria, MO. Laviece preceded him in death on May 9, 1999.

He worked for Agri-Services of Brunswick at the River Terminal. He was a member of the Brunswick Christian Church, Rucker-McAllister Post #7 American Legion of Brunswick, MO and a member of the Marceline Eagles.

He is survived by his step-daughter, Glenda A. Wiemer and her husband, Wesley of Salisbury, MO.

Don was also preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Estelyne V. Louder, who died in 2005.

Funeral services will be held at the Gibson Funeral home in Brunswick, MO, on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Lanny Lybarger officiating. Burial will be in the New Cambria Cemetery at New Cambria, MO. Military honors will be provided by The Rucker-McAllister Post #7 American Legion of Brunwick, MO. Pallbearers will be Bill Jackson, Randy Gorman, Walt Lewis, Donnie Swan, Leroy Bedwell and Gary “Conway” Gilmer. Red Driskell was an honorary pallbearer. Memorials may be made to The Brunswick Pecan Festival or the Rucker-McAllister Post # 7 American Legion.
