Fred A. Holbert, 62, of Leeton, MO, passed away June 19, 2007, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, MO.

He was born November 14, 1944, in Knoxville, KY, the son of Lloyd and Evelyn (Harrell) Holbert.

He married Linda Styles, who died in an automobile accident on July 11, 1987. He and Penny Shaeffer were married July 4, 1993 and she survives.

Mr. Holbert was a graduate of Fulton High School in Knoxville, TN. He attended Eastern Tennessee University. He was a plant manager of Unitog in Warrensburg and owned a lawn care service in Leeton. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Leeton and had served as president of the Rotary Club in Memphis, MO.

In addition to his wife Penny, he is survived by three sons, Jason and his wife, Marla Holbert of Colorado Springs, CO, Justin and his wife, Christy Holbert of Gautier, MS and Jeremy and his wife, Jennifer Holbert of Grain Valley, MO; a step-son, Dustin Culbertson of Albuquerque, NM and a step-daughter, Nicole Culbertson of Warrensburg, MO; a sister, Peggy Stanley of Jefferson City, TN; and five grandchildren, Hannah, Carson, Whitley, Calley, and Adaline.

Funeral services were held June 21, 2007, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, MO. Burial was in Mineral Creek Cemetery in Leeton, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association and may be left in care to the funeral home, 617 N. Maguire Street, Warrensburg, MO 64093.
