Edith Arlene Johnson, 86, of Lake Butler, FL., died July 19, 2007, at her home. She was pronounced dead at Lake Butler Hospital, Lake Butler, FL.

Mrs. Johnson was born and raised in Memphis, MO, and attended Northeast Missouri State College at Kirksville, MO. She was secretary and homemaker by occupation.

She was a former resident of Live Oak and Callahan, FL, before moving to Lake Butler, FL in 1970. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Lake Butler.

She is survived by her husband, Charles L. Johnson of Lake Butler, FL; a son, Mike Powell of Memphis, MO; a daughter, Vicki Powell Kershaw of Mountain City, TN; a step-daughter, Nancy Sebastian of O’Fallon, MO; a brother, Ken Alexander of Grand Island, NE; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The arrangements are under the care of Archie Tanner Funeral Home of Starke, FL. Interment at Granger Cemetery will be at a later date.
