LINDA LOU WHITE
(8/16/1948 – 7/22/2007)



Linda Lou White died July 22, 2007, at her home in New London, MO.

Linda was born August 16, 1948, to Wm. Wayne and Letha Wilma Kirkpatrick Musgrove at Keokuk, IA.

She married her husband of 40 years, James D. White on April 9, 1967, at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at Gorin, MO. To this union two children were born.

Linda graduated from Gorin High School in 1966. Linda worked as a secretary at City Hall in New London, MO, for several years. She was owner of Cover-It Upholstery in New London for over 25 years. Over the years she has worked at Cerf Brothers Bag Company, New London, MO, Watlow in Hannibal, Unemployment Office for two years, and was a seamstress for more than 30 years.

She was a very loving and caring person. She was always making something or doing something special for her family and friends. Never a job too “Big to Tackle”. She enjoyed going to Antique sales, and craft shows and making special gifts out of her bargains. She loved animals and helped raise white German Shepherds. She was an avid Race Car fan and enjoyed her trips to Talladega. She worked as a 4-H leader for several years and belonged to a ladies club “Feministic Clique”.

She was devoted to her family and was always there for everyone. She was the solid rock of the family and touched everyone’s lives and hearts that she came in contact with. She will live on through her family and friends.

Linda is survived by her husband, James D.

White; daughter Britany Lynea White and son, Dustin Dwayne White of New London, MO; her mother, Letha Wilma Musgrove of Gorin, MO; one sister, Reta Kay Stott and husband, Clifton of Cantril, IA; one brother, Dale Wayne Musgrove and wife, Judy of Gorin, MO. Additional survivors include three brothers-in-law, Ronald White and wife, Millie, Leslie Taylor and wife, Paulette, and Curtis Taylor, all of New London, MO; also surviving are nephews, Corey Stott, Travis Stott, Kirk Stott, Cody Musgrove, Scott Taylor, Derek Taylor, and Brady White; and nieces, Missy Gutherie and Amanda Crane and their families; several great-nieces and nephews who also were very special to her.

Preceding Linda in death was her father, William Wayne Musgrove; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marie and Jesse Taylor; one uncle, Harvey Lee Musgrove; and one aunt, Ellen Davison.

Graveside services were held July 26, 2007, at the Gorin Cemetery at Gorin, MO. Officiating was Mike Wilson. Pallbearers were her nephews. James O’Donnell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to “Victory Junction Gang” which is the Kyle Petty Camp for terminally ill children.
