FRIEDA M. ROBINSON
(1/5/1914 – 10/10/2007)



Frieda M. Robinson, 93, formerly of Keosauqua, IA, died October 10, 2007, at her home in Arvada, CO.

She was born January 5, 1914, in rural Scotland County, MO, to John and Elsie Barnett Stott.

She married Vern E. Robinson April 6, 1933 in Memphis, MO. He died October 21, 1991.

She graduated from Cantril High School, lived most of her life in Cantril and Keosauqua, IA, and moved to Colorado to be near her children in 2004. She worked many years as a cook at Van Buren Community School, Keosauqua, IA, was an active member of Keosauqua Christian Church for over 70 years where she held numerous offices and taught Sunday School and was a member of Christian Women’s Fellowship. She was a 50-year member and Past Matron of the former Lynds Chapter No. 27, Order of Eastern Star, Keosauqua and was currently a member of Twin City Chapter No. 258, Douds.

Surviving are two sons, James Robinson and wife, Sharon of Arvada, CO, and Jerry Robinson of Broomfield, CO; two daughters, Donna Fleming and husband, Wilbur of Arvada, CO, and Judy Burke and husband, Larry of Westminster, CO; five grandchildren, Sheryl Fleming, Lee Ann Cottingham, Darren and Dawn Robinson and Jenna Tabor; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Irene Ferguson of Memphis, MO; and a brother, Paul Stott of Reseda, CA.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Laurence Stott, and a sister, Elva Rosenberger.

Funeral services were held October 16, 2007, in Keosauqua (IA) Christian Church with Rev. Bill Shewmaker officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril, IA. Memorials can be made to Keosauqua Christian Church or Maple Grove Cemetery and may be left at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, IA, or mailed to the family at 2870 West 116th Place, No. 105, Westminster, CO 80234.
