Donna M. Snelling, 73, of Mt. Sterling, IL, passed away December 16, 2007, at Blessing Hospital, Quincy, IL.

She was born October 29, 1934, in Granger, MO, the daughter of James and Vera Faye Watson Glasgow.

She married Russell D. Snelling on May 23, 1953, in Kirksville, MO, and he survives.

Mrs. Snelling was a homemaker. She also worked as a waitress and cook for several area restaurants for over 20 years and assisted children in Mt. Sterling, IL as a school crossing guard.

Mrs. Snelling attended Rutledge and Baring, Missouri School and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Russell Snelling of Mt. Sterling, IL; son, Larry Snelling and his wife, Laura of Quincy, IL; one granddaughter, Rachel Snelling of Versailles, IL; one brother, Phil Glasgow of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Linda Smith of Arbela, MO; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Samuel Glasgow.

Funeral services were held December 21, 2007, in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling, IL with Rev. Tim White officiating. Graveside services were held at Pauline Cemetery in Rutledge, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Brown County Emergency Services Building Fund.
