Olive Christine Stieb, 84, of Albany, GA died Tuesday December 18, 2007 at Sylvester Health Care after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Msgt. Joseph David Stieb (USMC) retired.

Funeral services were held Friday, 21st at Andersonville National Cemetery with Rev. Andy Goode officiating.

Olive was born on April 23, 1923, in Arbela, MO, to the late Joseph and Verna Harvey. Mrs. Stieb was a high school graduate and attended business college in Missouri. In 1944, she enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After serving in WWII she was honorably discharged in 1946. Mrs. Stieb was a loving wife and mother who retired from the United States Civil Service in 1986.

Mrs. Stieb is survived by her four children, Linda Hodge and her husband Richard of Albany, GA, Leilani Dill and her husband Alan of Denver, CO, Jeffrey Stieb and his wife Lisa of Weymouth, MA, Sandra Klos of Albany, GA; five grandchildren, Matt Fox and his wife Julie of Albany, GA, Ashlee Klos of Leesburg, GA, Joseph, Matthew, and Andrew Stieb of Weymouth, MA; three great grandchildren, Camille, Matthew and William Fox all of Albany, GA; two sisters-in-law, Alice and Dorothy Harvey, numerous nieces and nephews and a Christian and loving caregiver Glenda Harrell of Sylvester.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stieb was preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Evans and brothers, Leland and Joe Harvey, Jr.
