Tigers Whack Wildcats 63-47 In Conference Victory

A dominating third-period performance allowed Scotland County to pull away from Milan on February 6th and remain perfect in Tri-Rivers Conference play with a 63-47 victory in Milan.

The two teams traded the lead back and forth in the opening half. SCR-I was a perfect six-of-six from the free-throw line in the first period as they went ahead 14-13.

Cody Musgrove scored 11 points in the second period but the Wildcats would not go away, trailing just 33-31 at the intermission.

But the third period was all Scotland County. Matt Wickert scored 13 of the Tigers 19 points as Scotland County pulled ahead 54-35.

Musgrove scored four quick points to start the fourth period and with the lead at 20 points coach Ryan Bergeson turned the contest over to the second team to close out the fourth period on the victory.

Musgrove led SCR-I (9-7, 3-0 TRC) with 25 points. Wickert finished with 21 points as the two forwards continued to play well in league play. The tandem is averaging 40 points a game in the teamís three conference wins while combining for nearly 20 rebounds per contest.
