Canton Trips Up Tigers In 63-47 Defeat

Canton used a big third period run to knock off Scotland County for the second time this season. The Tigers traveled to Canton on February 20th and dropped a non-conference match 63-47.

SCR-I kept the game close in the first period. Canton led 18-16 after the first period and saw that lead trimmed to just one point, 27-26 at the intermission.

But a 21-8 run in the third period put the game away for the home squad.

Bryce Blomme hit four three pointers for Scotland County and finished with a team-high 22 points. Canton held the Tigers’ top scorer, Cody Musgrove, to just nine points.

Travis Ellison led Canton (11-11) with 23 points while Drew Ayers finished with 22 points.

The Tigers fell to 13-9 on the year.
