Lady Tigers Have Strong Showing at Mustang Relays

Inclement weather wiped out the final team scores for the Davis County Mustang Relays, but the Scotland County varsity girls track team brought home several individual honors from Bloomfield, IA, on April 3rd.

Kirsten Johnston finished first in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:38.9. She also earned a second place finish in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:05.03.

The SCR-I distance medley team of Andrea Shelley, Valerie Oldham, Jessica Bair, and Brooklynne Simpson finished third.

The sprint medley team took top honors, crossing the finish line in 2:13.3. The team consisted of Ashley Westhoff, Kaitlin Caldwell, Shelley, and Bair.

Melissa Cotton took fourth place in the 1500-meter run in 6:15.93. She also finished fourth in the high jump, clearing 46.

The 4 x 400 meter-relay team of Ciera Turner, Bair, Shelley and Johnston, finished in second place.

Kaylan Winn took fourth in the discus at 783.
