SCR-I Captures Tri-Rivers Conference Golf Title

Scotland County can add another title to an impressive run for the school during the 2006-2007 Tri-Rivers Con-ference season.

The Tigers gold squad won the conference meet held May 1 at Unionville Country Club. The golfers join the campus bowl and boys basketball teams as league champions.

The SCR-I golf squad held off Brookfield for the conference crown. The Tigers carded a team score of 332, six strokes ahead of Brookfield. Clark County finished third with a 361 score followed by Schuyler County (395), Putnam County (405) and Milan (440).

Zach McBee shot a 78, the second best score of the event, to pace the Tigers. Joe Spurgeon carded an 80 followed by Travis Trueblood with an 84. Matt Wickert shot a 90 and Andy Cowell finished with a 94.
