Varsity Team Hits Track in Unionville

The Scotland County varsity boys track team hit the track in Unionville on May 1st for the Putnam County Relays.

Bryce Blomme paced the Tigers with a second place finish in the 400-meter dash. He was also a member of two winning relay squads. The 4x400 relay team finished third. It conisted of Bryce and Grant Blomme, Brandon Garnett and Trey Crow. The 4x100 team of Bryce and Grant Blomme, Marcus Shalley and Eric Glass, took fourth place.

Casey Parrish earned second place points for the Tigers in the 1,600-meter run. He also finished fifth in the 800-meter run.

Lance Smith took fourth place in the shot put. Garnett was fifth in the 110-meter hurdles.

The 4x800-meter relay team of Nathan Purvis, Ben Wiley, Ryan Auld and Dylan Gelbach finished fourth.
