Garrett Recovers From Early Crash To Take Two Wins at Show-Me Speedway

An accident in a heat race sent Andy Garrett to the pits with extensive damage to his kart. But the wreck wasnít enough to end the young driverís night, as he was able to recover to take the checkered flags in two feature events at Show-Me Speedway in Downing on May 19th.

With 50 entries, the grandstands full of spectators, and a fast track, Show-Me Speedway had a great night of racing.

The 20D kart of Devin Logerman took top honors in the Rookies race. Second went to the 10D of Dawson Beeler, followed by #90 Joshua Adams.

The Stock Lite feature race was won by #3 Wes Golden with #31 Tyler Hagar and #36 Teresa Hagar close behind.

Jacen Stotts piloted the #12 kart to victory in the JR I Lite main event. Second went to #37 Joey Hagar followed by #44 Dave Hudson.

Garrett took his first feature win of the night in the JR II Heavy class. The #77 ride held off #7 Myles McClure and #27S Andy Sundblad for the victory.

The Stock Medium feature was won by #02 Ashley Hutchinson. The #15 kart of Kirk Hopkins was runner up with #3 Wes Golden settling for third.

Austin Logerman and his #8 ride took the checkered flag in the JR I Heavy race. He held off #4 Jacob Mulvaney and #8 Dillon Hopwood.

Garrett found his way back to victory lane with a win in the JR II Lite feature race. He bested #3 Tyler Griesbaum and #8D Daniel Beeler.

The Masters race was won by #3F Loren Fischer. Second went to #79 Dennis Thelen, followed by #8 Tom Thelen.

The winner of the 50/50 drawing for $86.00 was Joe White of Eldora, Iowa.

The next race will be June 2 with hot laps at 6:00 p.m. and racing at 7:00 p.m. As always admission to the grandstands is free.
