First Baptist Church to Host Parenting Workshop

The First Baptist Church of Memphis will be offering a workshop on parenting on Sunday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. beginning this Sunday, March 30th, and running for eight consecutive weeks.

The unique and informative study will present a biblical approach to parenting that goes beyond simply addressing a child’s behavior and focuses on the heart behind the child’s behavior.

Such important topics as the goal of parenting, how to effectively shepherd a child’s heart, and biblical principles of communication, discipline and teaching will be addressed.

“You might just be surprised how much knowledge and wisdom the Bible has to impart on this important area of our lives,” said Pastor Dan Hite.

The parenting workshop is open to the public and would be relevant not only to parents, but also to anyone who has a formative role in the lives of young people.

For more information please call the First Baptist Church at 465-2060.
