Driver Ticketed Following ‘Wild Goose Chase’

A 30-minute search for an alleged driver ended with the arrest of the real operator behind the wheel of a truck involved in a one-vehicle accident on Route U, one half mile east of the Gorin School at 6:29 p.m. on March 30th.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene where two victims were located in a 1992 Dodge pick-up that had ran off the roadway and overturned. But the two victims informed the investigators that a third individual, the driver of the truck, had fled the scene on foot.

After no other individual was located, and following further review of evidence at the scene, investigators determined that there was no third party involved.

Shara J. Krise, 25, was ticketed with felony driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving, no valid drivers license, failure to display valid license plates on a motor vehicle and failure to display a valid license plate on a trailer.
