Indoor Marijuana Growing Operation Seized in Gorin

A Gorin man could be facing felony charges after an alleged marijuana growing operation was located in his home near the Gorin R-III School.

Dale L. Darland, Jr., 54, was arrested May 8th at 12:15 p.m. after officers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol eradication unit and the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department located and seized a small number of marijuana plants being grown inside the residence. Also seized were several items commonly used for maintaining an indoor marijuana growing operation.

Darland could face a Class A felony charge for attempting to manufacture an illegal substance (more than 5 grams), within 2,000 feet of a public school, pending the drug lab results.
