Community Players to Perfrom Meet Me In St. Louis Musical

“Meet Me In St. Louis”, the summer musical being produced by the Memphis Community Players, Inc., takes place in St. Louis on the brink of The Louisiana Purchase Exposition World’s Fair in 1904. The romantic musical was adapted from a series of short stories by Sally Benson. Judy Garland starred in the film version and debuted the standards “The Trolley Song” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”.

The production opens Tuesday, July 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the Memphis Theatre and continues through Saturday, July 19.

Sheila Berkowitz is directing the production and Dr. Dan O’Donnell is musical directory with Ann Luther as accompanist.

Future articles about the production “Meet Me in St. Louis” will profile the actors and their roles and give ticket information for the upcoming summer musical.
