Local Farm to Host Devil Dog Blues Fest

The Devil Dog Blues Fest will be held Saturday, July 12th starting at 5:30 at the Kathy and Bill Kiddoo farm located north of Memphis.

The name of the event is sourced from an Easter rabbit the Kiddoo’s had. “That was too good of a name to let go,” Bill said.

The Kiddoo’s have a barn built in 1890 that they have renovated for reunions and gatherings, and will have this event to show it to the public. The first band playing will be Miss Major and Her Minor Moon Swings. This is a rocknbilly blues band from the Kansas City area. They are the house band for Knucklcheans, a noted bar in Kansas City.

Finishing the evening is Cohesion, a local band with a large following. They have played several events in the area, including the NEMO Fair. Food will be provided by the Scotland County Rotary. Alcohol is permitted but not sold. Bring your lawn chairs. Admission will be $7.00.
