Memphis Teen Hurt In Crash on Route T

A Memphis teen suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred at 12:05 a.m. on July 6th at the intersection of Route T and Highway 15 south of Memphis.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Melissa R. Cotton, 17, was eastbound on Route T when she failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Highway 15. Her 1999 Ford pickup traveled across the highway where it impacted an embankment.

Cotton was taken by private vehicle to Scotland County Memorial Hospital.
