Gorin Man Hurt in Motorcycle/ Deer Accident

A Gorin man was injured in a motorcycle accident on Route A at 4:45 a.m. on July 31st.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Glen R. Altum, 49, was northbound on Route A, two miles north of Gorin, on a 1982 Honda motorcycle when he struck a deer in the roadway. He traveled off the road and into the ditch.

Altum suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Scotland County Ambulance Service to Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the ambulance service and the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department.
