Memphis Man Hurt In Crash on US 136

A Memphis man suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident just outside the Memphis city limits at 9:10 p.m. on Sunday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Robert A. Tinkle, 26, was eastbound in a 2001 Dodge on Highway 136 when the vehicle crossed the center line and went off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle traveled down a ditch and struck a trailer that was parked on the property adjacent to the highway. The crash occurred ½ mile west of Memphis.

Tinkle suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Tinkle was ticketed for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway and for not wearing a seatbelt.

The accident was investigated by the Highway Patrol. Assisting at the scene were the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department and the ambulance service.
