Health Department Considering Switch to Four-Day Week

The Scotland County Health Department is considering transitioning to a four-day work week in the near future.

The local healthcare provider currently maintains standard business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday. The proposed change would have the health department featuring office hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday with the office being open during the lunch hour.

The Health Department Board has inserted a questionnaire regarding the proposed change in this week’s newspaper. Readers are asked to answer a few questions and offer opinions on the possibility of switching the health department office hours.
