Wyaconda Man Hurt In Crash Near Fairmont

Bad weather was blamed for a one-car crash in Clark County on December 12th that left a Wyaconda man hospitalized.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Joe R. Paul, 59, was southbound in a 2003 Ford on County Road 208, near Fairmont, when Paul lost control of the vehicle on the snow-covered road. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned before coming to rest on its side.

Paul was transported by private vehicle to Scotland County Memorial Hospital where he was treated for moderate injuries.

The crash occurred at 2:30 p.m. The vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene.
