Golden Furrow Opens New Office In Scotland County
A name familiar across southeast Iowa will now be known in Missouri as Golden Furrow Fertilizer, Inc., has opened a new full-service facility in Scotland County.
The name isnít the only thing area residents are familiar with. The Memphis facility is managed by Scotland Countian Rick Rockhold with Tammy Dale of Gorin serving as the office manager.
The new office is located at the former Cunningham Fertilizer site on Highway 15 north of Memphis.
With 10 offices and 7 production locations in southeast Iowa, Golden Furrow provides the technology and services helping your farming business stay efficient and profitable.
Golden Furrow Fertilizer provides fertilizer and pesticide application services, precision agriculture consulting, crop scouting, and more.
Those services will now be available in Scotland County. The process began back in the spring. After nearly 25 years in business, Cunningham Fertilizer was sold in March 2008. The site was purchased by a local investor and was later leased to Golden Furrow.
Improvements were made at the location, including installation of a new anhydrous tank and upgrades on the building and driveways.
Dale, who served in a similar position for Cunninghams since 1989, said one of the biggest changes is the transition from a liquid fertilizer plant in Cunninghams, to more dry-fertilizer applications with Golden Furrow.
The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The phone number is 660-328-6211.
