PATRICIA ANN KING
(3/28/1946 – 12/25/2007)



Patricia Ann King, 61, Memphis, MO, passed away December 25, 2007, at the Scotland County Care Center, Memphis, MO.

Patricia was born on March 28, 1946, Cardin, OK, the daughter of John Lewis and Vera Etta Hamilton Johnson.

She graduated from Neosho High School in 1965.

She married John Wogaman in Miami, OK, in June 1969. Patricia had three children, John (Jonny), Robert, and Melissa.

In 1974 she worked as a certified Nurse’s Aide in Cassville, MO, up to 1989.

She married Charles King March 30, 1991. He passed away in 1998. Patricia moved to Carthage, MO to live near her mother until her death in 2005. She moved to Memphis to live with her sister. In 2005 she entered the Scotland County Care Center for three months, then returned to her home with her sister. In February 2006 she returned to the Scotland County Care Center, where she enjoyed the last year of her life.

The staff and employees of the Care Center became her extended family. She attended the Pentecostal Church when her health permitted her. She especially enjoyed the music.

Patricia was an avid sightseer, which always included a fried chicken picnic lunch. She loved all flowers especially yellow roses.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Wogaman and Charles King; her parents; and one sister.

Survivors include her two sons, John (Jonny) Wogaman of Wentworth, MO and Robert Wogaman of Wheaton, MO; one daughter, Melissa Jones of Purdy, MO; two sisters, Carolyn Gerber and her husband, Bernard of Memphis, MO, and Irita Warner of Tulsa, OK; two brothers, Terry Johnson of Arkansas and Bryant Church of California; one niece, Tina Gerber and her husband, John of Memphis, MO, and their children, Leah, Grace and Joshua Gerber of Memphis, MO; several family members out of the area.

Memorials have been suggested to the family and may be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison, Memphis, MO 63555.

Funeral services were held on December 27, 2007 at the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO, with Rev. June Cooper officiating. Musicians were Ruth and Rick Addison. Pallbearers were Joshua Gerber, Jeff June, Randall Hillyer, Rick Addison, Leon Buford, and Darren Cochran. Interment was in Memphis Cemetery, Memphis, MO. Arrangement were handled by the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO.
