DONNA MAE STEEPLES

Donna Mae Steeples, 68, of Des Moines, IA, and formerly of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, IA. She was born on April 1, 1939 in Fort Madison, IA to Robert J. and Georgia F. Hirstine Heidbreder Sr. She married Ronald Thomas Steeples on March 22, 1958 in Fort Madison, IA.

She was the Vice President of Wildlife Ridge Inc. and was a homemaker most of her life.

Donna is survived by her husband, Ronald Steeples of Des Moines, IA; sons Ronald A. (Stacey) Steeples of Burlington, WI, Steven R. Steeples of Des Moines, IA, Thomas A. (Michael) Steeples of Albuquerque, NM and Charles R. (Kristyn) Steeples of Ankeny, IA; grandchildren, Joshua, Cody, Jamie, Chelsea, Jessica, Chris, Michael J., Julie, Chase, Elliot, Brady, Cooper J and Georgia Steeples; great-granddaughters Selena and Haley Steeples; sisters Nellie Rudd, Dorothy Ramsey Pat Marshall all of Fort Madison, Esther Womack of Denmark, IA and Sandra Howe of Ankeny, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and four brothers.

The funeral was held Saturday, January 26, 2008 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Charles and Glenn Zimmerman officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison, IA. A memorial has been established for Taylor House Hospice, 3401 East Douglas Street, Des Moines, IA 50317.
