CARL EDWARD BEELER
(2/12/1921-2/22/2008)



Carl Earl Beeler, 87, of Coatsville, MO, passed away at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, MO, on February 22, 2008, where he had been a resident since May 2005.

The son of George Frederick and Goldie Alice (Dellinger) Beeler, he was born on February 12, 1921 in rural Lancaster, MO.

Carl was a graduate of the Lancaster High School in Lancaster, MO.

On December 14, 1941 at the Coatsville Baptist Church in Coatsville, MO, he was united in marriage to Doris Loraine Burgher and to this union three children were born, John Carl, Judy and Jack.

Survivors include his children, John Carl Beeler and wife, Angie of Coatsville, MO, Judy Harris of Shawnee Mission, KS and Jack Beeler and wife, Connie of Kirksville, MO; nine grandchildren, John William Beeler, Joseph Creighton Beeler, Justin Cole Beeler, Jeffrey Todd Beeler, Melissa Joy Finlay, Robbin Rochelle Robinson, Amanda Leigh Heeren, Brittany Allyn Beeler and Tina Joy Leslie; 19 great-grandchildren, Thad Beeler, Scott Austin Beeler, Logan Shively, Joseph Beeler, Jaron Shively, Elizabeth Beeler, Dalton Shively, Justice Beeler, Joshua Beeler, Alaina Beeler, Caleb Beeler, Lydia Beeler, Justin Beeler, Kalin Finlay, Cady Finlay, Zachary Robinson, Zoey Robinson, Nathan Leslie and Caris Finlay; nieces, nephews and other family members.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Doris on April 29, 2006; three sisters, Beulah Bragg, Barbara Steggall and Venus Gilbert; seven brothers, Walter, Dale, Dean, Earl, Olin, Paul and Estel in infancy.

He was a member of the Coatsville Baptist Church of Coatsville, MO. He was also engaged in farming with his wife on the family farm all of their married life. Carl honorably served the United States Army during World War II from July 22, 1942 until September 18, 1945.

Funeral services were held February 25, 2008 at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, MO with Dr. Terry Hunsaker of Kirksville, MO, officiating. Music was provided by organist, Maureen Watkins. Pallbearers were his nephews, Mark Steggall, Gerald Ray Bragg, Rex Beeler, Phil Beeler, James Bragg, and Mike Gilbert. Memorials have been established for the Coatsville Cemetery. Burial was in the Coatsville Cemetery in Coatsville, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, MO.
