THOMAS ALLEN SMALL

Thomas Allen Small, 59, of Lancaster, MO, passed away at Columbia, MO, on May 1, 2008.

The son of Thomas Andrew and Irene (Berry) Small, he was born on October 7, 1948, in Adair County, MO.

He graduated from the Davis County High School in 1966 and attended college for approximately two years.

Survivors include his mother, Irene Small of Lancaster, MO; one brother, Brian Small and wife, Susan of Hartsburg, MO; one sister, Susan Brown of Keokuk, IA; nieces; nephews and other family members.

Allen is preceded in death by his father, Andrew Small in June 2004; one brother, Barry Small in November 2004, and one brother-in-law, George Fanning in July 2005.

Allen did odd jobs for several people in the community and also spent time researching.

Graveside services were held May 3, 2008, at the Arni Memorial Cemetery with Sonny Smyser, pastor of Lancaster United Methodist Church of Lancaster, MO officiating. Pallbearers were Bobby Small, Andy Small, Alex Small, Norman Garr, Laverne Jackson, and John Tippett. Honorary pallbearer was Charlie Horn. Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Library. Burial was in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, MO. Arrangements were under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, MO.
