CLEO LAVON BERGEN
(8/14/1924-8/29/2008)



Mr. Cleo Lavon Bergen, 84, of Cedartown, GA, passed away August 29, 2008.

He was born in Louisa County, Iowa, on August 14, 1924 to the late Roy Cecil Bergen and Carrie Elizabeth Boulton Bergen.

He retired from the HON Company as a maintenance electrical engineer.

Mr. Bergen is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Riebel Bergen; daughters, Polly Jane Rankins and Zella May Musick; sons, Burdette Lavon Bergen, Allen Joe Bergen and Kevin Roy Bergen; eight grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services were held on September 1, 2008, at the First Baptist Church in Cedartown, GA., with Dr. David Taylor and Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Interment followed in Northview Cemetery. Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Cedartown Memorial Fund. Pallbearers were Jonathan Bergen, Daniel Rankins, Cody Rankins, Cody Rankins, Jimmy Camp, Jim Mayben and Frank Burgess, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Cory Bergen, the Cedartown Kiwannis Club, and Jimmy Vincentís Sunday School Class.
