Ray D. Drummond, 76, of Flint, Michigan, died Sunday, October 12, 2008 while on vacation in Northern Michigan.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2008 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Pastor Gail Allen will officiate the services. Cremation will take place following the service.

Contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.

Ray was born in Memphis, Missouri on September 8, 1932 and had been a resident of Flint for the past 50 years. He was a lifetime member of Elks #222. Ray served in the United States Navy during Korean War. He was an avid golfer in many leagues in Genesee County and owned Ray's Maintenance.

Surviving are wife, Shelley, daughters, Keri and husband Marty Jackson of Atlanta, GA, Kris Wood of Grand Blanc; three grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley and Christopher; brother, Delbert and wife Donna of Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
