Eggleston Gets Win, Save in C-SC Season Openers

It took five days, but the Culver-Stockton College softball team finally opened the season against Lincoln University in Jefferson City on February 27th.

Postponed twice due to weather, the wait was well worth it as the Lady Wildcats swept the Blue Tigers 5-1 and 11-9.

Sara Eggleston picked up the victory in the opening game, and then recorded the save in the nightcap in relief of Danielle Kaltmayer and Katie Thomas. Thomas was credited with the victory.

Eggleston allowed only two hits in the first game, striking out four and walking none. In the nightcap, Eggleston allowed two hits in 1.2 innings to record the save for the Lady Wildcats (2-0).
