Second Annual Brooke Shoop Memorial Turkey Hunt Will Reward Young Hunters

Young hunters will once again have a little more to “shoot” for this spring turkey season. The 2nd Annual Brooke Shoop Memorial Youth Spring Turkey Hunt will reward four top prizes to young hunters that bag turkeys during Missouri’s two-day special youth season April 12–13.

The event is sponsored by Extreme Taxidermy, Tague Steel & Iron, LLC, The National Wild Turkey Federation and J & S Trophy Hunts.

No pre-registration is required. Successful hunters just need to check in the bird from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on April 12 and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on April 13th at Extreme Taxidermy at 115 Monroe Street in Memphis (the old Little Fox building on the south side of the square). All participants and their families are invited to a free supper at 5:00 p.m. on April 13th.

The winning entries will be determined by a collective total of weight, beard and spur length. First prize will be a full-body turkey mount. A shoulder turkey mount will be given for second place with third place winning a full wing mount and fourth place taking home a fan mount.

All participants will also be entered in a drawing for a youth model 20 gauge shotgun and free hats will be given to participants.
