Tigers Golf Team Bests Rams, Indians at First Home Event

The first event of the season at Timber Ridge Golf Course in Memphis proved to be just what the doctor ordered for the Scotland County golf team. The Tigers topped teams from Schuyler County and Clark County to win the April 1st triangular match.

After bogeying the first two holes, Joe Spurgeon recorded three birdies down the stretch to finish one under par. His score of 33 was tops in the event.

Jerad Fuller carded a 42 while Michael Moore finished with a 44 and Jordan Fulk had a 45 to give SCR-I the top team score at 164. Kasey Dial carded a 46 for SCR-I.

Clark County finished the event with a team score of 177 and Schuyler County closed the day with a team total of 205.

Nathan Stock of Schuyler County shot a round of 39 to take second medalist honors.

Schuyler County captured the junior varsity match with a team total of 234. SCR-I finished with a 266. Chris Doubet led the charge with a round of 54 for SCR-I. Jacob Howard, Derek Peterson and Andy Garrett rounded
