Scotland County Care Center Receives Four Star Rating

The Federal Government sector that regulates nursing homes has developed and implemented a new nursing home rating system which went in to effect December 15th. It is known to the industry as the five star rating system. There are three areas that are scored to determine the overall rating. These areas are the result of health inspections, staffing, and quality measures scores. Quality measures comes from the resident assessment data that facility’s routinely collect on residents.

Scotland County Care Center received its overall rating on Thursday, December 19th as four stars. This star system is similar to rating of hotels and restaurants only with different criteria. The following is the meaning of the star system criteria for nursing homes. Five stars equals much above average. Four stars equals above average. Three stars equals average. Two stars equals below average and one star equals much below average.

Scotland County Care Center staff is proud of the four star rating but will continue to strive for the five status. This is your care center and our goal is for you to be proud of it too.
