Milton Men Flown From Crash Scene

Two Milton, IA men were flown from the scene of a one vehicle accident Saturday morning in Scotland County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Steven W. McGinnis, 53, was northbound on Highway 15 in a 1992 Ford van when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve at the intersection of Route H and traveled off the right side of the roadway where it struck a utility pole.

Steven McGinnis suffered serious injuries. He was transported from the scene by Air Evac helicopter to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

A passenger in the vehicle, Nicholas J. McGinnis, suffered moderate injuries in the crash. He was transported in a second Air Evac helicopter to Blessing Hospital.

The Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department, the Scotland County Ambulance Service and the Scotland County Fire Department.
