Drug Bust Snuffs Out Pot Growing Operation
A marijuana growing operation is out of business in Memphis after law enforcement officials served a search warrant at a local home resulting in the arrest of the lone resident.
David Edward Cagle, 29, was taken into custody after officers from the Memphis Police Department, Scotland County Sheriff’s Department and North Missouri Drug Task Force raided his home at 3:32 p.m. on December 7th.
The execution of the search warrant resulted in the discovery of a number of cultivated plants believed to be marijuana as well as a home-made growing chamber.
Cagle was arrested and charged with a class B felony of manufacturing a controlled substance for the alleged manufacturing of more than five grams of marijuana, a controlled substance, by planting, growing and cultivating it, knowing it was a controlled substance.
Cagle is being held in the Scotland County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond.
