Addresses Needed For Military Care Packages

The support for local efforts to send care packages to servicemen and women for the holidays has been overwhelming. But now organizers need your help in a different fashion.

The Wallace W. Gillespie Memorial Post #4958 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars as well as the Jauflione Chapter of the DAR are seeking addresses for area residents that are currently serving their country. Most of the existing address databases are outdated, as the men and women that serve our country regularly are transferred to other areas across the world.

Post Commander James Parker asks anyone with addresses for any serviceman or woman to drop a copy by the post or to call the VFW at 660-465-8995 or contact him personally at 660-216-2590 so that the mailing lists may be shared with the DAR and more care packages may be shipped by the two local care drives.
